History
In 1962 in Merano, Dino Gavina and Cesare Casina invited the Castiglioni brothers to create "real Italian light". The result was Arco, Toio and Taccia — pieces that reimagined the very idea of a luminaire as an object.
In the 1990s Philippe Starck took Flos to the mass market: Miss Sissi, Romeo Moon, Bibendum. From the 2010s the brand has worked systematically with minimalists — Michael Anastassiades (IC, String, Captain Flint) and Patricia Urquiola (Gaku, Skynest).
